چکیده
Abstract Introduction Right ventricular dysfunction (RVD) in patients with severe aortic stenosis seems to increase the risk of worse long-term outcomes after transcatheter valve replacement (TAVR). The purpose this study was investigate association between RVD at baseline and prognosis TAVR (readmission for heart failure death). Methods A cohort conducted. Consecutive undergoing from January 2012 December 2020 were included analysed depending on right function prior procedure. assessed using tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion (≤17 mm). Clinical follow-up characteristics recorded. median 26±22 months. Results Of 292 who underwent TAVR, 64 (21.9%) met criteria baseline. Patients significantly more often male (65% vs 46%) smokers or former (42% 23%). They had a higher EuroScore score (9.1±7.2 5.3±4) greater prevalence atrial fibrillation (55% 32%), previous surgery (20% 4%) pacemaker implant (25% 14%), less left ejection fraction (48±15% 58±11%), lower mean gradient (41±13 50±13 mmHg) estimated pulmonary artery pressure (50±18 42±13 compared preserved RV function. Procedural complications similar both groups. Normalization found 50.8% Readmission during common (29.7% 13.3%, p 0.04), also observing trend terms mortality 19.1%, 0.08). Conclusions an increased readmission mortality. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Prevalence and Prognostic Significance of Right Ventricular Systolic Dysfunction in Patients Undergoing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation.
BACKGROUND Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) can provide important structural information in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve implantation. Although CMR is considered the standard of reference for measuring ventricular volumes and mass, the relationship between CMR findings of right ventricular (RV) function and outcomes after transcatheter aortic valve implantation has not ...
متن کاملTranscatheter Aortic Valve Replacement: A Review Article
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is a novel therapeutic intervention for the replacement of severely stenotic aortic valves in high-risk patients for standard surgical procedures. Since the initial PARTNER trial results, use of TAVR has been on the rise each year. New delivery methods and different valves have been developed and modified in order to promote the minimally invasive p...

متن کاملPrognostic value of right ventricular myocardial performance index in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery
Abstract Background: Right ventricular myocardial performance index (RVMPI) is a Doppler–derived parameter of non-geometrical ventricular function that measures both systolic and diastolic functions of the right ventricle. The aim of this study is to compare prognostic value of RVMPI with global RV function in patients undergoing Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG). Methods: In a longitudinal ...
متن کاملAcquired Aorto-Right Ventricular Fistula following Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement
Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) techniques are rapidly evolving, and results of published trials suggest that TAVR is emerging as the standard of care in certain patient subsets and a viable alternative to surgery in others. As TAVR is a relatively new procedure and continues to gain its acceptance, rare procedural complications will continue to appear. Our case is about an 89-yea...
